About the BMW Berlin Marathon

As one of the seven Abbott World Marathon Majors, the BMW Berlin Marathon attracts over 45,000 runners each year and boasts a fast and flat course where runners’ PBs are regularly broken. This year’s BMW Berlin Marathon promises to be a huge party and a festival of celebrations you won’t want to miss.

The BMW Berlin Marathon is one of the most popular events in the marathon calendar and demand for places is anticipated to be high. Take on this amazing challenge and raise vital funds for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

How to enter the BMW Berlin Marathon

Apply now for a charity place

  • Registration fee: £50
  • Sponsorship target: £1,200

Please complete our application form for one of our charity places. Once we have received this, we’ll aim to come back to you with the outcome within two weeks.

Use your own place

The general ballot has now closed, so you can no longer register for entry into the event this way.

If you were successful in getting a place in the general ballot and would like to support Breakthrough T1D, please complete our Own Place registration form.

Accommodation

Our charity places are offered as part of a hotel and entry package. After your place has been offered and your registration fee has been received, we’ll send you a link to book your hotel with our travel partner.

Your package will include two or three nights in a central Berlin hotel. Total costs start from £555 and vary depending on your hotel choice and the length of your stay.

Please note that your place in the event will not be confirmed until you have booked your hotel via our travel partner. We’ve covered the cost of your entry, but runners are responsible for their own travel and hotel costs.
