About the event

This event is designed in collaboration with DigiBete for individuals, families, healthcare professionals and anyone connected to type 1 diabetes (T1D). This inclusive, family-friendly event offers something for everyone.

Attendees can expect:

  • Inspiring guest speaker sessions on a range of T1D related topics.
  • The latest updates in T1D research and technology.
  • Technology exhibition showcasing a range of T1D devices and practical tools for managing the condition.

With spaces and activities designed to engage different age groups, the day creates opportunities to learn, connect and share experiences.

What to expect

Speaker sessions

Hear from a variety of guest speakers, including expert healthcare professionals and individuals living with T1D, sharing their experiences covering a range of engaging and informative topics, including research, wellbeing, T1D tech and much more.

Speakers for the day are to be confirmed, but attendees can expect an inspiring and informative lineup.

Community and peer support

Our Discovery Days are centered around bringing the T1D community together. So, at this event, we will be running sessions centered on peer support.

During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to learn more about specific T1D-related topics, share your experiences within them, and connect with others who share similar interests.

Technology exhibition

Our technology exhibition will be open all day for you to access.

Within the exhibition, you’ll be able to explore the range of devices and technologies that are available to help manage T1D. You will also be able to chat and ask questions to a variety of T1D tech companies, including Dexcom, Medtronic, Insulet and many more.

Cost

This is a free* event.

Different ticket options available:

  • Full admission (18+ years): Attend the whole day – this includes the speaker sessions and the technology exhibition.
  • Teen ticket (12 to 17 years): Attend the whole day – this includes the speaker sessions and the technology exhibition.
  • Child ticket (5 to 11 years): Attend our children’s pathway with activities for younger children.
  • Tech exhibition only: Just drop into the technology exhibition at your own convenience.

*Any donations made at the point of registering are welcome and will help us continue our pioneering work.
