Breakthrough T1D UK prepared this evidence submission for the Select Committee on Health and Social Care, who were carrying out an enquiry into the Health and Care White Paper, later forming the Health and Care Bill.
The evidence supports many of the measures included in the White Paper, aiming to reduce postcode lotteries of access to type 1 diabetes technology and investing in improved data systems and technology.
Breakthrough T1D UK’s aim for this submission is to ensure that patient voice is recognised and promoted within healthcare reforms, and acknowledge the existence of health equality amongst people with type 1 diabetes.
