Join us on Saturday 10 May, from 9.30 to 3.00pm, for an informative event dedicated to exploring the world of type 1 diabetes (T1D) and connecting with the type 1 community!
Discover the latest developments in type 1 diabetes research and technology, hear from experts in the field and connect with others living with type 1. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been living with type 1 for years, this event is designed to provide valuable insights, support and inspiration.
This is a family-friendly day, open to families and individuals affected by type 1 diabetes along with healthcare professionals. For families, entertainment is provided for primary school-aged children, while teenagers and adults can participate in dedicated peer support workshops where they can meet new people and share experiences.
We look forward to a day filled with education, empowerment and community and can’t wait to see you there.
Throughout the day, you’ll hear from a variety of speakers, including expert healthcare professionals and individuals living with type 1 diabetes, sharing their experiences.
Each session will cover a range of engaging and informative topics, including research, type 1 technology, mental and physical health, and much more.
Additionally, there will be a lived experience panel discussion, where audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions about various aspects of managing and living with type 1.
Speakers for the day are to be confirmed, but attendees can expect an inspiring and informative lineup.
Our Discovery Days are centered around bringing the type 1 diabetes community together. So, at this event, we will be running sessions centered on peer support.
During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to learn more about specific type 1 related topics, share your experiences within them, and connect with others who share similar interests.
The technology exhibition is open all day for you to access. Within the exhibition, you will be able to explore the range of devices and technologies that are available to help manage type 1.
You will also be able to chat and ask questions to a variety of type 1 tech companies, including Dexcom, Medtronic, Insulet and many more.
