Falkirk FC bucket collection volunteer

Be the face of Breakthrough T1D and help us raise as much money as possible on match day at Falkirk FC. All volunteers will receive a Breakthrough T1D t-shirt, a match ticket and a pie & drink voucher.

What will I be doing?

  • Holding a collection bucket and encouraging members of the public to make a donation.
  • Representing Breakthrough T1D in a friendly and approachable manner.

What skills or experience do I need?

  • Confident, positive attitude.
  • Willing to engage with members of the public in a friendly manner.

Please note: in the interests of maximising charity funds, we prioritise volunteers who are based near to the event venue.

When do you need me?

Date: Saturday 21 March 2026

Start time: Please arrive between 1.45pm and 2.0pm 

Finish time: 5.30pm (approx.)

Where will I be based?

Falkirk Football Club, 4 Stadium Way, Falkirk FK2 9EE

The meeting point will be the main entrance to the stadium reception. A staff member wearing a blue Breakthrough T1D t-shirt will be there to meet you, and they will tell you where you will be based in and around the stadium for the collection.

What training and support will I receive?

  • We’ll send you a copy of our Volunteer Handbook, which will give you all the information you’ll need to know about volunteering with us. We’ll also ask you to sign and return a copy of our Volunteer Agreement, which sets out what we’ll do to support you, and what we expect from you, during your time volunteering with us.
  • We’ll send you a volunteer information brief which includes a reminder of the timings; a map to where we’ll meet you; details of anything you need to bring with you; and the name and contact details of a member of Breakthrough T1D staff who will be able to answer any questions you have.
  • On the day there’ll be a short volunteer briefing before you start, and we’ll make sure you have the contact number for a member of staff in case you have any queries.
  • We’ll give you a Breakthrough T1D t-shirt to wear (you can keep your t-shirt afterwards).
  • You’ll receive a ticket to watch the match (Falkirk vs St Mirren) and a voucher for a pie and a drink.
  • We’ll reimburse all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses in accordance with Breakthrough T1D volunteering policies (see details in your Volunteer Handbook).
