The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon promises to be an experience like no other, taking in the city’s vibrant culture and atmosphere. With the Table Mountain in full view and its oceanside route, it’s no wonder that the Cape Town Marathon is known as one of the world’s most beautiful marathons.
You have the opportunity to be among the first people to run the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon on behalf of Breakthrough T1D. All finishers will receive a provisional Abbott World Marathon Majors star. We’re so excited to have secured a handful of charity places. You could join the party while raising vital funds for type 1 research.
Registrations for the 2026 Cape Town Marathon have now closed and we’re unable to take any more charity runners. If you’d like to get involved in the Cape Town Marathon 2027, get in touch with our team at events@breakthrought1d.org.uk for more information.
