A free, virtual August challenge where you complete 1,922 sit ups across the month, or 62 a day, to help fund research into type 1 diabetes (T1D).
It’s flexible, can be done anywhere and is easy to split into smaller sets.
1922 marks the year insulin was first used to treat T1D. That moment changed what was possible.
Your sit ups mark that breakthrough, and your fundraising helps power the research that will bring the next breakthroughs.

No. It is free to join. When you sign up, you’ll get a fundraising page so you can start fundraising to help power the next big breakthrough.
It is virtual, so you can take part wherever you are, at home, in the gym, on holiday, or wherever works for you.
Complete our quick registration form and you’re in. We’ll then send out your tracker and invite you to join the Facebook Group for support and motivation.
P.S. Get a free sweatband after your first donation. Make a self-donation right after registration and we’ll get it in the post with your tracker right away.

No. 62 a day is a helpful way to picture the challenge, but how you complete your 1922 sit ups is up to you. If you miss a day, you can make it up later.
No problem. Split them into smaller sets, build up gradually, or work towards the 1,922 total with your family. The challenge is flexible and designed to work around real life.
